We’re putting some Pop(-Tart) into our classic cookie dough sandwich! You may be thinking, whoa, whoa, whoa, Pop-Tarts? How? Where? Why? Well, fellow desert fanatics - we invite you to continue reading and try not to drool too much on your phone (or keyboard), as we introduce the Pop-Tart Cookie Surprise!
Pop-tart Cookie Sandwich Ingredients
- 3 pints of Galactic Fusion Big Dipper Dough @ room temp
- 8 pop-tarts in your favorite flavor (we prefer Cookies & Cream Pop-Tarts to stick with the theme)
- Parchment paper
- 9 x 13” baking pan
Pop-tart Cookie Dough Sandwich Directions
Step 1: Line the pan with the parchment paper coming up over the edges to make the Big Dipper Dough easy to remove once frozen.
Step 2: Spread the dough in the bottom of the pan to your preferred thickness, the more dough, the thicker the sandwich!
Step 3: FREEZE
Step 4: Once the dough is completely frozen, cut it into 3” x 5” rectangles (prime Pop-Tart size)
Step 5: Place each section of ice cream in between pairs of Pop-Tarts, wrap in plastic wrap, and place back in the freezer for another hour or so to make sure the sandwiches are really frozen solid.
Step 6: Unwrap and enjoy immediately!
Note: For longer storage – wrap them in parchment or freezer paper and hide them from any roommates 😉
